Dianne Stanton: Diagonally Plaited Twill Storage

Diagonally Plaited Twill
Description: Using dyed and natural flat-oval reed, students will weave the twill base of this traditional square-to-round basket using a "loom". All the materials for this basket are contained in the base spokes. Once the corners are turned, the basket is woven in horizontal rows. If confident with this weaving technique, you may choose to include Choctaw/Cherokee patterns in your basket. Completed with half-round or flat-oval rims lashed with waxed linen.
Dimensions: 8" diameter, 7-1/2" deep
Instructor: Dianne Stanton
Class Day: Sunday
Class Length: 6 hours
