Description: |
Using 3 sticks as a foundation, students will learn to approach rib basketry a whole different way. Free form will be the look, with honeysuckle or grapevine as the frame and reed as the weaving. Each basket will be unique in shape and design. |

Mary Hettmansperger: Woven Copper and Beaded Jewelry

Description: |
Using copper sheets, birch bark, and Delica Beads in peyote stich, students will bead and weave flat surfaces to make into jewelry. Choosing your own bead colors, you will make several unique pieces, including necklaces, pins, and earrings. You may bring your own lamp as well as handspuns, papers, and other unique fibers to incorporate into your jewelry. Special tools needed: needle nose pliers and scissors. |
