Mary Smith-Stokes' Elegant Grace
Description: Students may hand carve their own handle or use one provided to top off this open storage basket, which can be used for many purposes, such as sewing, mail, bread or fill as a gift basket. Shaping techniques will be stressed using stop 'n go weaving with color choices and topped with an "x" wrapped rim.

Mary Smith-Stokes' Teddy's Toy Basket
Description: This basket is not just for children's toys! Weave a solid bottom with chicken feet filler spokes and add runners for a long lasting base. Insert dyed overlay spokes, weave three rod whale alongside double layers of 1.5" ash strips using the step up technique and double twine with arrowing to the finish. Ceramic handles and a coordinated tie-on medallion enhance this sturdy basket rimmed with half round.

Mary Smith-Stokes' Spiral Illusion
Description: The emphasis is to learn how to create the illusion of three-dimensional weaving. The basic round basket over a D handle is topped off with a minimum of ten rows of the Gretchen or rolled border. The use of dyed and natural reed for a swirl effect adds beauty and stability. Several dyed shades will be available.
Dimensions: 6 1/2" diameter x 9 - 14" high (including the handle).
