| Description: |
A basic round base starts this cute indoor birdhouse, then the possibilities are endless: over/under weave, twining, arrows, twill. Material choices
will include natural, smoked and dyed rattan and seagrass. You'll top it off with an attached "gourd roof" and seagrass or wire for hanging. A variety of gourd tops will be available to choose from.
Gourd preparation and use will be discussed.

Insert the smoked stakes into a wood base and twine into place. Triple twine several rows to gently upset the sides. Then weave an easy continuous twill up the walls
in flat oval. Top it off with several rows of rolled border in 4 fall colors. |

This round reed basket has a twined base and a foot in 4-rod wale. Then the fun begins! Learn a "birdnest" weave sytematically leaving the ends of the dyed weavers
OUTSIDE the basket as a design element, while shaping a rounded basket. A simple but flashy trac border and a "haircut" finish off this attention getter. This is a NO-stress basket. |
