Flo Hoppe: Mini Books

Description: Spend an interesting evening making three kinds of mini books. The first is a star book made with origami folded pages and hard covers with a ribbon tie closure. The second book is made like a small book of matches with pages that are tied in with waxed linen and decorated with beads. The third is an accordian book that fits into a handmade box. Interesting papers and rubber stamps will be available to use to make your books distinctive. Flo Hoppe: Mingari

Description: Mingari is inspired by a Japanese style basket. The focal point is the weave at the top, which is known by Japanese basketmakers as pine needles. this interesting effect is achieved by working a braid weave over an uneven number of spokes divisible by three. The basket is finished with a rolled border worked around a core. Flo Hoppe: Sonata

Description: This pouch shaped basket features a combination of 3-rod wale and randing to create pockets for space-dyed reed insertions. Three-rod arrows provide the interest at the top with the 4-row rolled border adding to the arrow design. A rope-wrapped handle completes the basket.
