Holiday Basket Exchange and Potluck

Event:   Holiday Basket Exchange and Potluck
Date:   December 2, 2000
Location:   Peoria, IL

The Land of Lincoln Basketweavers met at the Peoria Women's Club for our annual potluck on Saturday, December 2, 2000. Geri Ely, Mary Garramone, Liz Webster and their committee planned a day of fun with great food, Make-It, Take-It projects, the always spectacular basket exchange, and plenty of weaving fellowship.

The potluck luncheon brought us some great recipes which were distributed at the Camp Tuck-A-Basket weekend in March. In case you missed them, you can check our recipe section for these wonderful taste creations.

For the basket exchange, the baskets were placed in an unmarked brown paper sack, the sacks were numbered and then drawn for exchange. We "Ooh"ed and "Aah"ed over everyone's creative talents!

Also, at the Christmas Party, we drew for the annual membership basket. Each year, LLBWA purchases a special basket from a weaver to be used as a prize for some lucky member who has already paid her dues for the upcoming year. (Winner need not be present to win.) Dues needed to be paid by December 2, 2000, to be eligible for this drawing. This year's lucky winner was Liz Webster; Liz is one of the Peoria weavers that hosted the party and has been an active and hard working member of LLBWA. Congratulations Liz!
