Event:   LLBWA Fall Workshop
Date:   Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM and Saturday, Sept. 11, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Location:   Interstate Center, Bloomington, IL

We have an exciting lineup of classes for the 2004 Land of Lincoln Basketweavers Association Fall Workshop.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10. Vendors will be available until 9 p.m. Classes are planned from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Supper-- a sandwich, chips, cookie and pop -- will be from Avanti's, and may be pre-ordered at a cost between $3.75 and $4.85 depending on the sandwich.

On Saturday, the doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Vendors will be available and a light breakfast will be provided by Bloomington weavers. Weaving will begin at 9:00 a.m.

A potato bar lunch is included in the $20 registration fee and will be served at 12:30. The bar includes baked potatoes and condiments, a soup, dessert, rolls and a drink. Additional drinks will be available for 25 cents. There also will be a short LLBWA board meeting during lunch.

Classes will resume after lunch. The workshop concludes at 5 p.m.

There are 7 Friday night classes, 7 Saturday classes and one Friday night/Saturday class offered. Please review the pictures and descriptions of the projects, teacher biographies and print the registration form. When choosing classes, please list them in order of preference. Return the registration form, a $20 registration fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope to Mary Ann Ford, 709 S. Vale St., Bloomington, IL. 61701.

The registration fee covers the $450 cost of the Interstate Center, $10 charge for Saturday lunch ans miscellaneous expenses involved with offering the workshop.

Space is still available in most classes. Return the registration form as soon as possible. Forms received after July 15 will be processed in the order received and assigned the remaining class seats.

Class assignments will be mailed shortly thereafter. The instructor/material fees will be due to Mary Ann Ford by Aug. 9. You also will have a chance at that time to order kits (when available).

Because of the quick turnaround of class assignments, we will not be able to refund registration fees.

Non-members of LLBWA are welcome to attend, but need to add $5 to the cost of each class. An open weave area also will be available, but you must fill out a registration form and include the registration fee.

We have lined up three hotels near the Interstate Center that are willing to offer a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate for those wishing to stay overnight. Hotel information will be included with your class assignments.

We feel very fortunate to have attracted such talented teachers and hope that you are pleased with the selections. If you have any questions contact the following people: Mary Ann Ford (309-663-4926) or Marcia Hammerstrand (309-663-5848).
