Fall Workshop 2007
We have an exciting lineup of classes for the 2007 Land of Lincoln Basketweavers Association Fall Workshop.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7. Vendors will be available until
9 p.m. Classes are planned from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Supper-- a wrap (sauce on the side), chips & salsa,
fruit cup and pop -- will be from The Groove Cafe, and may be pre-ordered for $4.50.
On Saturday, the doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Vendors will be available and a
light breakfast will be provided by Bloomington weavers. Weaving will begin
at 8:00 AM for 4 hour classes and 9:00 am for regular classes.
A potato bar lunch is included in the $25 registration fee and will be served
at 12:00. The bar includes baked potatoes and condiments, a soup, dessert,
rolls and a drink. Additional drinks will be available for 25 cents. There also
will be a short LLBWA board meeting during lunch. Classes will resume after lunch. The workshop concludes at 5 p.m. Registration for the workshop is due by July 6th . There are 7 Friday night classes, 9 Saturday classes and one Friday/Saturday classes offered. Please review the pictures and descriptions of the projects, teacher biographies and print the registration form. When choosing classes, please list them in order of preference. Return the registration form, a $25 registration fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope to Pat Gustafson, 441 Carlock Road, Carlock, IL. 61725. The registration fee covers the $450 cost of the Interstate Center, $10 charge for Saturday lunch and miscellaneous expenses involved with offering the workshop. On July 7th, we will draw registration requests randomly and make class assignments. Forms received after July 6th will be processed in the order received and assigned the remaining class seats. Class assignments will be mailed shortly thereafter. The instructor/material fees will be due to Pat Gustafson by July 30th. You also will have a chance at that time to order kits (when available). Because of the quick turnaround of class assignments, we will not be able to refund registration fees.
Non-members of LLBWA are welcome to attend, but need to add $5 to the cost of
each class. An open weave area also will be available, but you must fill out a
registration form and include the registration fee. We have reserved spaces at two hotels near the Interstate Center, for those staying overnight. These two hotels: Country Inn & Suites, 923 Maple Hill Road, Bloomington, 61704, 309-828-7177 and the Ramada Limited & Suites, 919 Maple Hill Road, Bloomington IL, 61704, 309-828-0900.
