Chinese Cabbage Salad |

Holiday 2000 Basket Exchange and Potluck |
Ingredients:
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1/2 C sugar
- 3/4 C oil
- 1/4 C vinegar
- 2 pkgs ramen noodles, broken into pieces
- 1/2 C slivered almonds
- 1 oz sesame seeds
- 2 bunches green onions
- 1 1/2 pkg cole slaw mix or 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
Instructions:
- Mix soy sauce, sugar, oil and vinegar together in saucepan and boil 1 minute; cool.
- Saute noodles and almonds in butter, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned. Add sesame seeds toward the end, as they brown very quickly. Cool.
- Cut green onions and mix with cabbage.
- Assemble ingredients at serving time. (Best if put in bowl with lid; shake to mix.)
