Pecan Pie Bars |

Celebration of American Basketry 2001 |
Crust Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Filling Ingredients:
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 1/2 cups white syrup
- 3 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Mix all crust ingredients and press into jelly roll pan with deep sides.
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
- Mix filling ingredients together.
- Pour filling on baked shell and bake 20-25 minutes more.
- Cool and cut.
