Recipe:   Pecan Pie Bars

Crust Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Filling Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups white syrup
  • 3 tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions:

  • Mix all crust ingredients and press into jelly roll pan with deep sides.
  • Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  • Mix filling ingredients together.
  • Pour filling on baked shell and bake 20-25 minutes more.
  • Cool and cut.
