Merry Berry Cheese Bars |

Holiday 1998 Basket Exchange and Potluck |
Ingredients:
- 2 C flour
- 1-1/2 C oats
- 3/4 C brown sugar
- 1 C margarine
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 can (14 oz.) Eagle Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/4 C lemon juice
- 16 oz. can whole berry Cranberry Sauce
- 1 T. brown sugar
- 2 T. corn starch
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Beat flour, oats, margarine, and 3/4 C brown sugar together with mixer, until crumbly.
- Set aside 1-1/2 cups and press the remaining into the bottom of a greased 13x9" pan; bake 15 minutes.
- With mixer, beat cream cheese until fluffy.
- Add condensed milk and lemon juice; spread over baked crust.
- Combine cranberries, corn starch, and 1 T brown sugar; spoon and spread over cheese mixture.
- Top with reserved crumbs; can also add chopped nuts to reserved crumb topping, too.
- Bake 45 minutes.
- Refrigerate any leftovers.
Makes 24 - 36 bars.
