This piece, new for 2008
uses bark covered wire for spokes and
some of the weavers. Beginning with a
Japanese base, students will learn
various techniques for manipulating bark
covered wire which presents some new
weaving challenges. A wide variety of
textures and colors will be available
from which to select for weaving this
creative, new piece. Options will be
discussed for how students choose to
finish the rim (or leave in a sculptural
form). Please bring fairly heavy duty
wire cutters if easily available.
