Camp Tuck-A-Basket

Event:   Camp Tuck-A-Basket
Date:   February 28 through March 2, 2003
Location:   Stronghold, Oregon, IL

We have seven outstanding teachers offering all-day classes on Saturday and Sunday in a wide range of materials and techniques--your hardest job might be choosing between them! Also, Friday evening 2-3 hour mini-classes are back by popular demand, and we are offering Camp Tuck's first two-day class. Please read the class descriptions carefully and pay attention to days and times when maing your selections. Regular classes range from six to eight hours (8 hour classes will continue for one hour after dinner on Saturday). When you sign up, pay close attention to suggested weaving levels, length of class, special tools required, and description, so there will be no unwelcome surprises later.

Your class selections must be postmarked no later than November 1, 2002 for first day registration. Many classes will fill on the first day, so if there is a class that you really want--don't delay. Please read and follow all the instrutions on the registration form. Note that you should list all Saturday and Sunday classes in order of preference, rather than separating them by days. This way it is easier for us to know what your overall top choice is. Please do not list any class that you are not willing to take. If there is only one class you want, you may list only that one; however, that does not increase you chances of getting into that class. It simply means that if your one choice is already full, your registration check will be returned.

The registration fee for one day is $35 and $65 for both Saturday and Sunday. You must be a member to register. There is no additional fee for Friday night classes for registered participants, consider those your bonus! (Friday night classes may only be taken by those registered for the conference.) A check in the amount of your registration fee, made payable to LLBWA, must be mailed with your registration form. You must also include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Registration is limited to paid members only. If you are not currently a member, enclose with your registration form and check another check made payable to LLBWA for $15 to pay for your membership.

Classes will be assigned in random order, beginning with all forms postmarked by November 1, 2002. You will receive class confirmations by mid-December. At that time you must send checks to Patti Hawkins for materials fees to guarantee your place in class. These checks should be post-dated March 1, 2003 and will not be given to the teacher until the day of the class. If there is space available, classes will be assigned until they are full. So if you are signing up late, don't assume there are no open classes. There will be no cancellations or refunds allowed after January 25, 2003.

Meals are not included in the registration fee. Cafeteria meal selections will be available at the facility and must be pre-paid. More details will be sent with your class assignments. You are not required to eat at the camp to attend the conference.

An open weave area will be available Saturday and Sunday for those not registered in a class. However, the full registration fee is required for each day for those wanting to come to the open weave area.

We will have some great vendors at the conference for all those supplies you just can't live without, so plan on bringing extra spending money! There will also be a teachers' marketplace on Saturday night, so that you will have an opportunity to purchase directly form all the teachers.
