This basket is a tribute to Joyce who was a friend as well as an inspiration.  The basket is woven on a class mold with cane spokes and tortoise shell black dyed cane.  It is woven in a continuous 2/2 twill weave with a compensation on each row as the basket has an even number of spokes. Try it and you will see how easy it can be.  The basket has small ears, swing handle, rimmed with flat oval and lashed with dyed Hamburg cane.  Handle and ears will be premade and a demonstration will be given as to how to make them.
