Weave this elegant basket on a
pre-painted base with Purple Siberian
Irises which has dyed spokes. The
spokes are tapered and dyed prior to
class. Due to the nature of the
inside base some of the base will be
woven with the right side of the
material to inside of the basket.
The basket will utilize the following
techniques - chase weave, 2/2 twill
weave, as well as three rod wale.
The rim will be double lashed with
either waxed linen or cane (student's
choice) which will result in an X which
will appear on both the inside and
outside rims. |
