Saturday Evening Activities

In addition to the great classes and shopping we have a fun filled week-end of activities planned on Saturday evening.  After classes end, start the evening off with Hors D’Ouevres and enjoy something new for LLBWA - a Book Signing Event. During this event you will have the opportunity to purchase a book and have it autographed by one of our illustrious teachers. We are so excited to host this new event, and their books will be great collectors items for any basket weaving library!

Haven’t had enough weaving yet? Take on an additional weaving project with one of our “Weave it, Don’t Leave it” mini projects offered by our vendors (See order form below). There will be several quick projects to choose from!

This year we are also presenting a number of awards at the event:  Patti Hawkins Scholarship, the First Time Camp Tuck Participant Awards and the People’s Choice Award.  In addition, we will be presenting lots of door prizes throughout the evening so this is your chance to win something great!  It is bound to be a fun evening and another great opportunity for you to relax, weave, shop and visit with your friends!

Charity Event

Don't forget we are also sponsoring a great charity event this year; "Adopt-A-Soldier".  In the spirit of competition the Bloomington Weavers Guild would like to challenge the other Illinois guilds in a Christmas Stocking Sew-off!  The guild that donates the most stockings will be awarded a special plaque for their contribution to our soldiers.  Of course, there are other ways to participate in this great event.  You can: Buy Items to Donate, Cash is always welcome - we will us it to purchase additional supplies, or write a letter or sign a Christmas Card.   They always appreciate words of encouragement from home.  Please help make this a great event!
