Handles - inserting into your basket

Never insert the ears of a swing handle, bushel handle, or notched handle under all the rows of weaving. Not only is this difficult, it can and usually does distort the shape of your basket.

Anchor the ends of the ears under two or three rows of weaving. The rim holds the handle in place so sliding the ends of the handle under only a few rows is all that is needed to keep the ears from sticking out.
